It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Chaney in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Chaney and Helen Chaney; his wife Jan; his son Todd; and his brothers, Jack Chaney Jr., Mark Chaney and Robert Chaney.

He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Christopher Chaney (Susan Chaney) and Bryan Chaney (Emily Chaney); his grandchildren, Luke, Lauren Chaney, Lincoln and Quinn Chaney; and his siblings, Suzanne Tower and Lane Chaney. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

John spent decades battling Parkinson's disease alongside his family. As an alternative to memorial flowers, please consider a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in his name.
