He was predeceased by: his parent Ella Mae Florence (Reed); his siblings, Margaret Lampley and Jesse James Florence; his brother-in-law Charles Fletcher; and his nephew Alan Florence.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ophelia McNabb and Maxann Florence (Mimi); his grandchildren, Quincey Ragland, Kimora Florence and Janiya Florence; his siblings, Milton Davis (Paulette), Delphine Lewis, William Thornton (Elizabeth), Bobby Reed (Linda), John Florence, Earnestine Fletcher and Betty Florence (Ralph); and his close friend Sherry Ann Walsh.
