It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba D. Larson (Fort Walton Beach, Florida), who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Melba find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Dykes and Birdie Davidson; her husband Norman Larson; her sister Billie Pate; and her stepmother Minnie Dykes.
She is survived by: her children, John (Mary Ellen Larson), Rebecca (Roger Gauthier) and Richard (Asalee Larson). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Melba's memory to the First Baptist Church Fort Walton Beach Mission Fund.
