With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Ray (Fort Walton Beach, Florida), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Walter left this world on February 12, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Ray and Mary Lena Ray (Thompson); his wife Lydia Gail Ray; his son Kevin Ray; and his siblings, James Ray, Maggie Langley, Mary Ellen Morningstar, Helen Butler and Nelvia Blackburn.

He is survived by: his daughter Kara Ray Preston; his son-in-law Joseph; and his grandchildren, Joshua Preston, Caleb Preston, Heather Viviano, Jason Preston (Lindsey) and Candice Preston. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Walter's memory to.
