It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Ray Brookshire of Fountain, Florida, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Brookshire and Howard Brookshire; his siblings, Betty Barksdale, Peggy Sue Brookshire and Tommy Brookshire; his daughter Belinda Etheridge Portwood; his granddaughter Karley Johnson; and his fishing buddy Lesley Portwood.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Brookshire; his children, Bart Brookshire, Kent Ethridge and Brooklyn Brookshire; his daughters-in-law, Tanja Bacani and Melinda Bruecher; his grandchildren, Easton Brookshire, Taylor Geren, Christina Coe and Brandy Harris; and his sister Judy Brookshire Praytor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
