It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jone Merchant (Freeport, Florida), who passed away on April 16, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Rudolph Ellis and Lillian Brown Ellis; her husband Ralph H Merchant; and her sisters, Bernice Bonner, Beatrice Miller and Jeanette Kilbourn.
She is survived by: her children, Monty Merchant (Lisa) and Leita Holland; her grandson Erik Merchant (Sara); and her son Ethan Merchant (Anna).
