He was predeceased by: his parents, Malvin Otis McWaters and Maudie Bell Anderson McWaters; his stepdaughter Tenora Shann Monk; his brothers, Herman McWaters and Doyce McWaters; and his brother-in-law Howard'Cotton'Peeler.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Miller McWaters of Freeport, FL; his stepsons, Ronald Monk Jr. (Amy) of Bonifay, FL and Donald Monk (Judi) of Gainesville, FL; his grandchildren, Michael Harris, Sarah Marie Harris, Claudia Monk Paulk (Isaiah), Courtney Kay Monk, Diana Sloan Monk and Téadora June Monk; his great grandchild Obadiah Paulk; his siblings, Dwight McWaters of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Alice Faye Waters (Jerry) of Ellenton, FL and Martha Peeler of Quincy, FL; and his sisters-in-law, Joan McWaters of Crawfordville, FL and Audrey McWaters of Crestview, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peel Funeral Home (301 E Evans Ave, Bonifay, FL 32425). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peel Funeral Home Chapel (301 E Evans Ave, Bonifay, FL 32425).
