He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Gardner and Mildred Gardner; his wife Nancy Mae Gardner; his son Timothy Gardner; and his siblings, Roger Gardner (Lida), Darlene Selders (Ed), Ruth Fowler and Evelyn Byerley (Dick).
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Peeper, Laura Long and Thomas Gardner Jr.; his grandchildren, Christy Norris (Scot), Andrea Pounds (Sean), Amy Stilgenbauer (Travis) and Jennifer McGee (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Trinity Norris, Arianna Norris, Jacob Pounds, Wyatt Pounds, Sean Pounds, Taylor Schlupp, Hallie Price, Kylee Fansler and Allen Stilgenbauer; his great great grandchildren, Amelia Price, Lillian Price, Roman Price, Carter Matthus and Avery Matthus; and his sister Beverly Ackley (Joseph).
