Mother Alice Faye McCray, 76 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Mother McCray was born on November 12, 1945 in Brushlet, FL to Ernest Mays and Mary Alice Perry (Charlie). She was a member of New St. Paul Church and was employed as a Laundry Attendant at Alachua General Hospital.
Preceded her in death are: husband, Abraham (Ham Bone) McCray, son, Dan A Jones, granddaughter, Miracle Faye Neal and siblings, Janet Perry Reaves, and Bessie Perry Sims.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: Daughter, and Caretaker for over 30 years, Lafronta Jones Mathes (John F), Gainesville, FL. Son, Dave jones Jr, Jacksonville, FL. Daughter in law, Katrina Bradley Jones, Gainesville, FL. Siblings, Carrie Mitchum (Isaac), Boardman, FL, Joe Perry, Vira Perry, Gainesville, FL, David Perry (Gwen), Orange Lake, FL, Grace Perry, Flemington, FL, Charlene Perry (Herman), Miami, FL, Mary Akins (Wayne), Reddick, FL, Frederick Perry, Ocala, FL. Six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Visitation wll be Friday, March 18th, 2022, 4:00-6:30 pm at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 2905 SE 21st Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32641. Rev.Leroy S Chandler officiating.
