She was predeceased by: her son William Ricardo George, Jr.; her parents, Rendy Lee Thomas and Lewis Thomas, Sr.; and her siblings, Dorethia Hall and Calvin Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband William Ricardo George, Sr.; her daughter Inga Gwaltney; her son-in-law Scott Gwaltney; her grandchildren, Tuia George, Matthew George, Chance George, Mia and Erin Gwaltney; her great grandchild Farouk Kamma III; and her siblings, Alice Hostetler, Thelma Johnson, Lewis Thomas, Jr., Robert L. Thomas, Lorenzo Johnson (Debbie), Loretta McCray (LaDaniel Sr.), Earl Howard (Leslie), Maryann Thomas-Johnson (Toney) and Alicia Thomas. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
