With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Art Swett of Gainesville, Florida, born in Huntington Station, New York, who passed away on November 9, 2020 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Swett and Anna Swett; his wife Marlene; his children, Jonathan (Jessie) and Jessica (Danny); his grandchildren, Jonah, Johannah, Jenna and Nala; and his brother Gary.

“I was a student of Mr. Swett at Holy Cross Lutheran School in Fort Wayne, In. I was very sad to hear of his passing. He was a great teacher. He was very funny and caring. He also taught me how to sing. I still have a "Happy Gram" that he gave out for good work. I am now a teacher and also graduated from CU Chicago. I was greatly influenced by the great teachers that I had. Laura Lindeman Szymanski Holy Cross Class of 1982”
