He was predeceased by: his wife Isabell Wimberly; his daughter Carolyn Young; and his siblings, W. C. Wimberly, Jimmy Rae Wimberly, Thomas Wimberly, Jessie Wimberly, Jerolyn Wimberly and Jeannette Wimberly.
He is survived by: his children, Alvin Wimberly (Lisa) of Gainesville, FL, Avery Jones of Gainesville, FL, Lorenzo Lewis of Gainesville, FL, Jimmy Lewis (Crystal) of Gainesville, FL, Prezy Matthews (Lupe) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Regina Wimberly-Tim (Michael) of Riverview, FL and Theresa Lewis of High Springs, FL; and his siblings, Jamie Wimberly of Laurel, MD, Willie D. Wimberly of Camilla, GA, R. J. Wimberly of Camilla, GA, Horace Wimberly of Americas, GA and Ruby Wimberly of Gainesville, FL. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
