We are sad to announce that, on May 26, 2021, at the age of 88, Eddie Lee Martin formerly of Gainesville, Florida, born in Lochloosa, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Zack Martin, Sr. and Dolly Slater; his siblings, Clarence Slater, James Hart, Burnis Brown, Zack Martin, Jr., Eugene Martin, David Martin of James, Joseph "Joe" Martin, Eartha Mae James and Lorraine Joyner; and his great grandchild Latravis Takyla Long.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Martin of Hawthorne, FL, Kersandras Hightower (Desi) of High Springs, FL and Carole Martin-Long (Rodney) of Gainesville, FL; his grandsons, Terry Robinson of High Springs, FL, Steven Long (Shakirah) of Gainesville and Julius Long of Gainesville; his great grandchildren, Nyla, Tymarian, Josiah, Saniya, Javeon, Steven, Soloman, Terryn and Kamryn; his stepgrandchildren, Uhurasasa "Neki" Long, Jasmine Hightower, Christopher Hightower, Arnelle Wright and Bakari "Doc" Burnett; his siblings, James "Jim" Martin (Pansy) of Conyers, GA., Viola Jerry of Miami Gardens, FL, Ruth Haddock (Hamp) of Hialeah, FL, Allean Stovall of Winchester, VA, Bertha Wise of Lilburn, GA, Gloria Mann, West and Ola Mae Bryant of Orangeburg, SC; and his siblings-in-law, John Harris (Rosa), James Harris (Johnnie Mae), Lonnie Harris Jr., Daisy Morris, Alice Small and Irish Jenkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
