She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Riggan and Beulah Riggan. She is survived by : her husband Thom Elliott Mitchell; her son David Thom Mitchell of Portland, OR; and her nephew Michael Riggan.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Bethel Baptist Church (1238 New Bethel Church Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
