It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Amburgey of Gainesville, Florida, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Prova Amburgey and Mabel Amburgey; and his siblings, Jim Amburgey and Pat Adams. He is survived by : his wife Eva Lea King; his children, Leanne Sprague (Don) and David W. Amburgey; and his brother-in-law Jim Adams. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Jerry was a true renegade with the heart of a philanthropist, and he donated to many charities.
