She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Curtis and Ola Mae Curtis (Darby); her husband Leonard Mitchell; and her brother Jerry L. Curtis. She is survived by: her children, Sasha Garwood (Shay) and Rodney Gaines; and her siblings, Willie L. Curtis (Wanda), Johnnie L. Curtis (Chandra), Lee Curtis (Katrina), Mary A. Green (Willie Frank), Joan Hayes (Vernon), Flossie A Curtis, Ola A. Curtis and Belinda R. Curtis Hardaway (Demetrius). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
