She was predeceased by : her parents, John Marion Newell and Tulah Hughes Newell; her siblings, John Newell, Beverly Ann Newell Boswell, Juanita Newell Maranville, Vesta Newell Woodfield and Genevieve Newell Owens; and her son Robert Alan Peterson (Felicia).
She is survived by : her husband Richard K. Peterson; her children, Sandra Peterson Anderson (Dale) and Richard K. Peterson (Deborah); her sisters, Mary Coughlin, Wilma Legretha Jackson and Talou Altman; her grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson-Braddock (Sydney), John Peterson and Charlie Peterson; and her great grandchild Nolan Braddock. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
