He was predeceased by : his mother Stella M. Byrd. He is survived by : his children, Jamal S. Wing, Omo Wilkerson, Olajide Wilkerson, Iwasumina I. Olumuyiwa and Omiladun I. Olumuyiwa; and his grandchildren, Jamal S. Wing, Jasiah Wing, Jaheim Wing, Ania T. Makinde, Ojo Makinde, Oladoyin Makinde-Ogunlano, Olayemi Olumuyiwa and Afolabi Olamina-Olumuyiwa.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 30th 2024 at the Ilesa Ire Temple (4307 NE 70th Pl, Gainesville, FL 32609).
