He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sherman DeWitt Newman and Alivia Rowsey Newman. He was also cherished by many family members and friends. He was married for 44 years when he lost his wife Viola. He had 5 children 9 grandchildren and 11 greatgrand children. He also lost 3 of his children before he passed leaving his daughter and a step son
