He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Dean Algeo and Nell O'Neal Algeo; his brother Charlie; and his siblings-in-law, Julie, Dave Nachtrieb and Larry Burlisle.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Ann Blankenship Algeo of Archer; his children, Melissa Algeo (Jason Myers) of Bryson City and Dean Algeo (Lacey) of Spokane, Washington; his grandchildren, Sophia Myers, River Myers and Zoey Algeo; his siblings, Ann Downer (Ralph) of Hernando, Judy Hauck (Joe) of Reading, Ohio, Jane Nachtrieb of Sarasota, Beth Burlisle of Vandalia, Ohio, Mark (Christine) of Inverness and Mike (Sue) of Springfield, Ohio; his pets, Bella, Bradley, Lexie and Mickey; and his friends, Inge, Elke, Joey and Sophie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
