I; his children, Walter Mims (Greta) of Riverhead, Lavette Mims (Danora) of Riverhead, Talisa Ajavon (Athanasius) of Riverhead, Kecia Lamb (Elwood) of Riverhead, Marcus Mims (Lissette) of Bronx, NY, Jackie Mims (Jerry), Jeffrey Norris (Mariana) of Owings Mills, MD, Rhonda Cooley (Rodney) of Atlanta, GA and Shelia Wilson H; his siblings, Edward Johnson (Rebecca), Leonard Johnson (Rosemary), Arlene Johnson (Samuel), Betty Cromwell (Joseph), Cathy Gilyard (Willie) and Bonita Burden (Lonnie); his nephew Ebony Bradley; his close friends, Agnes Walker, Jerrie Mae Walker, Ernest Freeman, Thomas Norris and Milton of Washington; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Johnson and Thelma Neal; and also, Charlene Rawlins and Samuel Corey Courman. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a private family, socially-distanced Life Memorial Celebration will be held at 11 a. m., Tuesday, August 25 at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity.
