He was predeceased by : his parents, Alma Lee Barton and Register; his siblings-in-law, Robert Combs and Maria Barton; and his wife Corrine Barton.

He is survived by : his daughter Virginia Higginbotham (Jeremy Rourke) of Glen St; his grandchildren, Tiffany Mynes (Taylor), Austin Smith (Ashley), Justin Smith and Morgan Higginbotham (Skyler); his great grandchildren, Anistyn, Paisley, Taylor, Houston, Tanner and Jaxx; his siblings, Bobby Ray Barton of Baker County and Rachel Combs of Baker County; and his nieces and nephews, Rachelle Crews (Dale), Robbie Combs (Melissa), Brenton Barton (Wendy) and Brittany Randle (Chris).
