He is survived by: his wife Inez White; his children, Neville (Angelica White), Merlene White, Janis White O'Gilvie (Lennox O'Gilvie), Calvin (Amina White), Dezreen White, Wayne "Steven" (Ebere White), Paul White (Maria Cruz) and Maureen White; his adoptive daughter Shantaye Eccles Welch; his siblings, Roy and Gloria White; Esther Richards. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, friends and family.
