He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie B. Shipes and Minnie Pearl Gentry Shipes; and his nephew Jamie Shipes. He is survived by: his brother Billy Ray Shipes; and his nieces and nephews, John Keith Shipes (Vicki), Cindy Patrick and Ammie Harris (Ricky).
