He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ethel Sasser; his parents, Floyd Sasser and Ruth Sasser; and his brother Sidney Wayne Sasser. He is survived by: his adoptive daughters, Sierra Peters (Austin) and Casey Christian; his grandchildren, Michael, Johnathan, John, Koltan and Elizabeth; his siblings-in-law, Betty Christian, Randy, Charles Shirley, Rita, Scotty Shirley, Sharon, Tommy Mayberry and Carmell; and his nephews, Timothy Shirley, Charlie Shirley (Jennifer), Jacob Shirley and Tyler Shirley. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the James & Lipford Funeral Home (5390 Cotton St, Graceville, FL 32440). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 419 Killebrew St, Newton, AL 36352.
