She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Owens, Sr. and Mavis Batchelor Owens Amerson; and her stepfather Paul Amerson. She is survived by: her husband Michael Hughes of Grandin, FL; her daughter Susan Person (Griff) of Greensboro, NC; and her pets, Moe and Annie. She is also survived by 3 siblings.
