She was predeceased by : her parents, Virgil Wesley and Sada Marie Phares; and her siblings, Ralph Edward Phares, Timothy Phares, David Noland Phares, Ronald Allen Phares, Tommy Phares and Faye Phares.

She is survived by : her husband Curtis King; her daughters, Cassie Hobbs (Paul) of Marianna and Julie Arroyo (Wilfredo) of Marianna; her brothers, William McKinley Phares (Rufina Louise), Virgil Ray Phares (Teresa), Rodney Phares and Frank Phares, Sr. (Georgia Lynn); her grandchildren, Brandon Arroyo (Miranda), Triston Arroyo (Lesli), Dalton Arroyo and Justin Michael Rivas; her great grandchildren, Milo Walker, Angel, Julian and Cassian Arroyo; and her close friends, Diana Murphy and Cheryl Norga. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
