He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Ann; and his brothers, Tommy and Howard. He is survived by: his son John Hallenbeck; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; his granddaughter Hannah; his daughter Carmen Godsey; his son-in-law Larry; his grandchildren, Ashley and Grant; and his sisters, Jean and Mary.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jim's memory to a local youth music or sports program of your choice.

“We were neighbors of Jim for many years on Bayou Bend. We offer our sincerest condolences to the family. When we moved in in 2017, he was among the first that we met and we quickly became good friends to Jim and his family. We were so sorry to hear of is passing. He loved The Price is Right and the NY Yankees and NY Football Giants and often time we would go over to his house just to visit and watch tv with him. He will be missed. David, Connie and Christopher Shumway”
