He was predeceased by : his parents, N. Carl Elder and Josephine Elder; and his siblings, Stewart Elder, Joann Elder and Eloise Lindahl.
He is survived by : his wife Virginia Herr; and his sons, Carl Elder of Groveland, FL, David Elder (Lee) of Clermont, FL and Stephen Elder (Susan) of Longwood, FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
