With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn McCall (Gulf Breeze, Florida), born in Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 25, 2023 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carolyn McCall to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Neville Simmons and Walter Simmons of Washington; and her siblings, Inez Simmons Davis and Walter Simmons, Jr. of Washington. She is survived by: her husband Michael B. McCall; her children, Chandra Douglas (Brian) of Nashville, Elizabeth Bemiss (Scott) of Gulf Breeze and Michael B. McCall, II (Lori) of Charleston; and her grandchildren, Abigail, Clara, Matthew, Scott Michael, Baxter, Henry, Karl and Lillian.
She was the recipient of two organ donations and is eternally grateful for the gifts of life she received and the last eleven years she spent with her grandchildren. Through her experiences, she became an advocate for organ donation.
