He is survived by: his children, Katharine Whitehead (Michael), Evelyn Reid (Gary) and John Butts; his grandchildren, Christopher Whitehead (Callie), Handsel Reid and Virginia "Ginny" Kelly (Kevin); his nephews, Lucius Butts, III (Penny) and Russell Butts (Stephanie); and his close friends, Camille, Don, Rita and Jackie Andrews.
