She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton McKoy and Jewel Talley McKoy Moore; and her son Gary Allison Self. She is survived by: her husband Norman Self; and her children, Dirk Self and Susan Darling. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be given to a ministry close to Lea's heart due to her Native American ancestry: St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 North Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
