William Busby Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Busby (Gulf Breeze, Florida), who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Busby to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Billy" Busby and Janet Copeland Godsy; his wife Lisa Fortenberry Busby; his sister Shana Busby Cole; and his daughter Breanna Busby.
He is survived by: his son Will Busby of Gulf Breeze, FL; his sisters, Babs Bender (Lee) of Selma, AL and Mitzi Rollins (Brook) of Summerdale, AL; his stepfather Howard Godsy; his mother-in-law Mavis Fortenberry of Silver Creek, MS; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Gatewood (Mike) of Hattisburg, MS and Duane Fortenberry (Timmy) of Florence, MS. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Paradise Grill Pensacola Beach.
