She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Upthegrove and Rachel Upthegrove (Yates); her daughter Samantha Sparkman-Gomez; and her husband Charles "Cooter" Brown (Cooter). She is survived by: her children, Joey Sparkman (Joella) of Gulf Hammock, FL, Dennis Sparkman (Darlene) of Bristol, VA, Tawny Brown-LaTorre (Wilson) of Lititz, PA and Lisa Blackburn of Lake Panasoffkee, FL. She is also survived by eleven loving grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The family has requested donations to be made to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Oxford, Florida.
