It is with sadness that the passing of Doris J. Farney of Haines City, Florida is shared. Doris, born on October 7, 1931, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry W. Essig and Frieda Louise Koch Essig; her spouse Ira D. Farney; and her siblings, Glenn Essig, LaVerne Patterson and Dorothy Foster.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Gastman (John), Kathy Hodel (Ken), Mary Wiegand (John), Wayne Farney (Michelle) and Mark Farney (Lisa). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 10 great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Church (1570 County Rd 1300 N, Roanoke, IL 61561).
