He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Jones and Norcey Alene Jones (Layfield); his brother Rothelle Jones; and his half-brother Ardel Brannen. He is survived by: his wife Florence Jones; his children, Valerie Hoffler-Maddox (Vic), Heather Thomas (Tyler), Tim Jones (Robin) and Mark Jones (Sandy); and his sister Norma Jean Faile. He is also survived by "Grandpa" to his eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
