She is survived by: her cousins, Renee Rogers and Keith Henry; her nephew Johnny Kemp; her niece Latonia Kemp; her godchildren, Chad Anderson and Evonski Tucker; her siblings, Yvonne Kemp, Fred "Rico" Kemp, Carolyn Kemp Anderson (Roosevelt), Donald Kemp, Johnnie Kemp (Eldria), Gail Kemp Anderson, Kathy Kemp Sumerall (Rodney), Anthony Kemp and Edward Singleton (Rochelle); her daughter Traronda Coleman (Chris); her nieces, Taylor Coleman, Tramaine Coleman and Tyra Coleman; her aunt Martha Garris; her godchildren, Todra Anderson-Rhodes, Tedra Anderson-Brown, Tammy Jackson, Erica Brinson, Janelle Kemp and LJ Boyd IV; and her close friends, Donie Cue, Joann Simpson and Rosetta James. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Throughout her tenure, Ms. McNeil was widely recognized for her outstanding contributions to education.
