She was predeceased by : her mother Willie; her sons, Larry Dean Kirkland Sr. and Otis Garrison Jr.; her grandson Larry Dean Kirkland Jr.; and her brothers, Willie James Appling Sr., Johnnie Aplin, Jimmie Aplin, Leolia Aplin, Mionis Appling, Artis Appling Sr., Billy Appling, Andrew Jackson, Henry Aplin and John Nealy.
She is survived by : her daughter Sylvia Jones (Ronald); her goddaughter Michelle Jackson-Session; her daughter Linda Wesley; her grandchildren, Torianda Stuart Wierzba (Darrell), Jah Stuart, Dominque Seymour, Tanika Clemonts (Trey), Karonia Aaron, Jason Ramsey, Erica Jones, Michael Jones, Mario Bryant, Nicholas Kirkland, Monique Dasher (Brian), Adrienne Yon, Sentonio Yon, Tamicka McKinnon (Andre), Lamar, Ontario, D'ontrai (Tashaneika) and Khalia Garrison (Le'Teran); and her close friend Pam Zanders. She is also survived by great-grands, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
