He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kelly and Lou Kelly-Smith; his wife Mary Edna Kelly; his siblings, Alma Kelly-Thomas, Allen Kelly, Lilly Mae Kelly-Weston, Sam Kelly, Betty Smith-Gaines, Joe Smith, Bessie Smith-Thomas and Earnest Smith; his children, Gwendolyn Kelly-Jones, John A. Mickens and Brenda Kelly-Jakes; and his grandsons, Michael Kelly and William "Charlie" Jakes III.
He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny Kelly of Sanford, FL and Sarah Smith-Weatherspoon of Jesup, GA; and his children, Clarence Johnson of Tampa, FL, Fred Kelly of Havana, FL, Kenneth Kelly of Tallahassee, FL, Fannie Jackson (James) of Tallahassee, FL and Sebrina Kelly-Cromartie (Reginald) of Havana, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
