He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hewitt Darnell and Ruth Holstein Darnell; his former wife Barbara Webb Darnell; his sister Nanette Darnell Gosen; and his former wife Dorothy Bertram Darnell.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Kirk Darnell (Jilly), Cynthia Lynn Darnell Miller (James), Charles Phillip Darnell (Tammara), Brian Scott Darnell (Benita) and Julia Ann Darnell Clark (Robert); his grandchildren, Kelley A. Minars, Tory G. Minars, C. Kurt Darnell, Amie Darnell Specht (Matt), Nicole Darnell Wedekin (Ben), Kirstyn Rees Tackett (Cameron), Eric B. Rees (Morgan) and Hope Rees Jimenez (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Carter, Samantha, Daniel Tackett, Baker and Able Rees; his wife Rosalie Weeks Darnell; and his stepdaughter Lisa A. Moore.
