Theresa K. Gludovatz Obituary
GLUDOVATZ, THERESA K., beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, godmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2021, with her family and friends by her side. Born in Miami, FL on November 11th, 1949, Theresa (Terry) was the elder child of Lorenz Gludovatz and Beverly (Callahan) Gludovatz (both deceased). Terry grew up in Miami and attended Saint Mary's School, Immaculate Conception School, graduated from Monsignor Edward Pace High School, and later as an adult, earned her MBA and graduated summa cum laude from Barry University.
She began her career in 1967 with the Southern Bell Telephone Company, where she worked until her retirement in 2007, from AT&T (BellSouth). Terry loved her community and donated many hours in support of community projects with the Telephone Pioneers of America organization, having held several offices throughout the years. Her passions included cooking, traveling and entertaining family and friends.
She was deeply devoted to her faith as a Roman Catholic and was a loyal and active member of her parishes. Survived by brother John and sister-in-law, Laurie Gludovatz of Sun City Center, FL; niece Erika and husband Grant Missonis, and their daughters, Audrey and Ginger of Clearwater, FL; niece Gretchen Gludovatz and her husband Bradley Lucero, and their daughter Sarah Lucero of Durango, CO; lifelong friend Sharron Koors of Stuart, FL, and many other very dear friends. Viewing is from 6pm to 10pm, Friday, January 14th, 2022, at San Jose Palm Funeral Home 4850 Palm Ave, Hialeah, FL 33010.
Funeral Mass is at 11:30am, Saturday, January 15th at Immaculate Conception Church, 4497 W 1st Ave, Hialeah, FL 33012. Committal is at 1pm, Saturday, Jan 15th at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172. Reception to follow at 10500 NW 33rd Ave, Miami, FL 33147.
In lieu of flowers, Theresa wished that donations be made in memory of Theresa K Gludovatz to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4497 W 1st Avenue, Hialeah, FL 33012-4016, or Catholic Hospice. Her cheerfulness, kindness and generosity will be greatly missed. Terry was loved by her family and friends, but find comfort knowing that through her faith, she has returned safely home to live with our Lord.
