He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Gentry; his children, Darrel Mathis (Mary Kay) of Lake City, FL, Larry Mathis (Kandy) of Decatur, AL and Kim Clemons (Tony) of Smyrna, TN; his siblings, Roy Mathis (Jane) of Griffin, GA and Daisy Chalker (JL) of Gibson, GA; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Katherine, Danielle, Matthew, Chance, Zak Mathis, Alex (Jordan) and Evan Clemons; and his great grandchild Clayton Clemons.

We hunted, fished, praised and worshipped our Lord together, prayed together, shared each others victories, struggles and everything in between. He was a very huge part of my life, thoughts, fellowshipping and prayer time. I love him and Pat dearly. Although missing him now, I will see him again.. You see, Tommy is with the Lord as he was saved by God's Grace. Tommy would want you to give your life to Christ too.”
