He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frankie Mixon and Geneva Barber; his aunt Elvira Barber (Wade); his siblings, Geneva Mixon, Johnny Earl Mixon, Henry Everett Mixon, Talmadge Theodore Mixon and David Carroll Mixon; and his cousins, Robert Everly, Junior Everly and Wesley Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Jessica Mixon; his brother Willie Mixon (Faye); his children, Brad Pitts (Tara), Amanda Mixon and Kala Mixon; his grandchildren, Shelby Havis, Morgan Mixon, Corey Haviland and Bryce Pitts; and his daughter Aredell Carter. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nassau Funeral Home (541720 US-1, Callahan, FL 32011). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
