James Arthur Hughes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2025, at the age of 91, James Arthur Hughes of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lloyd Hughes and Marian Jeanette Mackey; his former wife Margaret Hughes; his siblings, Ivan W. Hughes (Billy), Joan (DeVaney) and Jane; his nephew Art Devaney; and his grandson James Hughes.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Margie" Conlon; his children, Mark Hughes (Patricia) of Annapolis, John Glen Hughes (Cindy) of Jupiter, Maria Carlton (Brian) of Jupiter and Gary Hughes (Linda); his grandchildren, Michele Rudnicki (Josh), Nicholas Hughes (Justine), Michael Vitale (Hilary), Mallory Kasapakis (Sampson), Allyson Bollinger (Edward), Shelby Warford (Zachary) and Matthew Hughes; and his sister-in-law Theresa Speiker. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
