He was predeceased by: his parents, Fletcher Owens and Willie Mae Owens; his siblings, James Owens, Robert Owens, Ruby Parks, Bennie Owens and Henry Owens; and his granddaughter Latrice A Irvin.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Parker Owens; his sons, Jason Owens Tallahassee (Alison Owens) and Johnny; his grandchildren, Arrie McFarquhar and Jaxon Owens; his siblings, Jewett Britt Zebulon Ga and Betty Burden Zebulon Ga; his sisters-in-law, Luddie Owens Concord Ga, Mildred Moreland and Frances Preston of Hobe Sound; his uncle Henry Milner of Giffin Ga; and his godchildren, Shawn Buckle and Elie Dorsey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin, extended family and dear friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Place Church (1550 SE Salerno Rd, Stuart, FL 34997).
