In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Mackin and Mary Mackin (Ripka). He is survived by: his children, Karen DeTorres, Anne Ferola, Juliana Pace and Julio Mackin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home (250 Center St, Jupiter, FL 33458). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (12001 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, FL 33455). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the American Legion Post 271 (775 U. S. Rte 1, Tequesta, FL 33469).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
