It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy S Mauger (Holiday, Florida), who passed away on January 28, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Edward; and her children, Edward, George and Patti Mauger Crabb. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

George Mauger wrote a sympathy message

“I had the best Mom (caring, loving, supportive). She always made sure to send birthday cards with $10. She suffered with a stomach problems for as long as I can remember. Even though she suffered from macular degeneration, (which caused her to go blind in one eye and caused shadows in her other), tinnitus, severe arthritis (especially in her hands, knees and hip) and COPD (causing her to be with oxygen at all times), she never complained. Her macular degeneration made it difficult for her to read her bible. I bought her an iPad that would read her bible passages. She loved her Bible. Mom lost her father when she was four to a brain aneurysm. She loved to play Yahtzee, watch the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. She was an ESSO mascot at a time when a gas station attendant washed windows and checked oil. Finally, our family gave her the nickname Mrs. Christmas because of her love for decorating for Christmas.”
