“Lawrence is a family cousin thru the Whitney family. VanRapp, Green, Delano When I last spoke on the phone with Lawrence, we had been discussing our 4th great grandfather. Capt Thomas Delano who was the subject of his cemetery plot and transferring the owner-ship to my daughter and grand - daughter.. I called his mother weeks later and was shocked to hear of the passing of her Son. Glad that we did talk earlier and had a nice visit. I will miss our talks. Beverly Olney.”

“Lawrence was a dear friend that I met in 1982. I found him to be extremely intelligent with a wide variety of accomplishments. I was always amazed at his ability to have a conversation with anyone, especially with people of high regard. His life stories were so interesting and colorful. I am a photographer, and he was my best subject. He helped me photograph some very unique people he knew that I would never have had the opportunity to photograph if it wasn't for him. I will miss him.”
