He was predeceased by: his parents, Nikolaos Gaitanis and Stavroula Gaitanis; his siblings, Garifalia Vellios (late Constantinos), Constantinos Gaitanis (late Maria) and Bessie Stamatopoulos; and his great grandchild Samuel.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothea; his children, Stella Kreiner (George), Agnes Mihalopoulos (Tom) and Nick; his sibling Athanasia Lialios (late Aristedes); and his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Nolan, Miller, Lyla, Eleni and Sullivan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
