He is survived by: his wife Christine A. Kakaris Hondros; his children, Leo Hondros (Dawn), Marina Prindle (Frank) and Demetra Mercado (Richard); and his stepchildren, Stacy Gkaravelis (Nikolaos), Angie Marrero (Samuel) and Gus Spanos. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
